Between science and magic
Raised among starships and strange worlds, I found escape and inspiration between the covers of classic sci-fi and fantasy. Today, I write stories that blur the lines between science and magic, always searching for that spark of doubt where the impossible might just be true. If you’re curious about the spaces between, you’re in the right place.

A life between worlds
Imagination has always been my refuge. Growing up in a house lined with the fantastical art of starships and impossible landscapes, I devoured Tolkien by flashlight, marveled at Philip K. Dick’s mind-bending worlds, and counted the days until the next Wheel of Time. Stories weren’t just an escape from a difficult childhood, they were a lifeline, a nightly adventure that made sleeplessness a gift.
By eight, I was scribbling my own tales—short, cliché-riddled, but bursting with the wild ideas only a child can conjure. Though those early stories may never win a prize, their spirit still lingers in every page I write.
My journey took a detour through academia, where I learned to wield English as my creative tool—first through video games, then through the relentless writing required of a PhD. Science shaped my mind, but fiction kept my soul alive. It was during those years, between research papers and the weight of adulthood, that the urge to write returned with force. My first novel took seven years, the next three, and countless short stories filled the spaces between.
Today, I balance the chaos and wonder of parenthood with the ever-present “writing virus.” My daughter inspires new perspectives, even as unfinished manuscripts and untold ideas pile up, waiting for their moment.
My stories live in the grey space between science and magic—where certainty ends and wonder begins. Influenced by Glen Cook, the Malazan epics, China Miéville, Haruki Murakami, and the narrative twists of Philip K. Dick, I strive to craft tales that question reality, blur boundaries, and always leave a little room for doubt. No elves or dragons, no hard science—just the mysterious, shifting frontier where the impossible might be true.
Welcome to my world, where every story is a journey into the unknown, and every page is an invitation to wonder.
